- Fantastic Win on a Fantastic Day
Warwickshire vs Derbyshire Boys, Olton Golf Club on Sunday 21st June. At 9am the weather looked good and the venue fantastic. All we needed was our team to turn up with their 'A' games and post another Midland Junior League win. It did feel a bit as if it was Warwickshire who were away as I was outnumbered 15 to one in the supporter stakes, as every parent from Derbyshire turned up to support their boys!
- Anything but a walk in the Park
Warwickshire's 2nd Team faced Nottinghamshire at Wollaton Park Golf Club trying to replicate their win a month earlier against Staffordshire. With the weather looking scorching, the match was poised to be a close one, but we couldn't have guessed just how close!
- Half Term Blues for our Best Boys
The Midland Region Juniors 6s - Trentham GC - Wednesday 27th May - The Midland Schools - Friday 29th May - Cleobury Mortimer GC - Summer half -term is a busy time for our best boys who put aside revision books for a day or two as they try to help Warwickshire qualify for National championships.
- Perfect end to a perfect day
Warwickshire v Nottinghamshire - Sunday 7th June 2015 - Coventry Hearsall Golf Club Our second Midland League game of the year was at home to Nottinghamshire at Coventry Hearsall Golf Club. With weather conditions perfect for golf and a golf course that was prepared and setup in immaculate condition with greens running over 12.5 on the stimpmeter, a great day was ahead of us and Warwickshire did not disappoint.
- The U16s season so far - not our best start
Our previously very very hard to beat U16s Team have suffered a couple of set-backs at the beginning of the 2015 season. These are the match reports of a friendly (vs Leics - a loss) and of our first Midland League match (vs Staffs - again a loss). We have been hampered by losing a number of our squad to England Golf coaching but their replacements have shown promise!
