The 2014 Warwickshire U14s and U12s - North Warwickshire GC - Tuesday 19th August - If the results of this years championships for our youngest golfers are anything to go by, Rugby Golf Club have been developing the next wave of Junior talent in our county.

Warwickshire Boys vs Shropshire & Herefordshire - Sunday 17th August - Ingon Manor Golf & Country Club - I arrived at Ingon Manor with a team packed at the top with experienced players and four boys making their debuts at the bottom of the field for our winner takes all match. Shropshire & Hereford were fresh from their 13.5-1.5 victory against Derbyshire and had their strongest 10 boys available (REPORT INCLUDES MATCH VIDEO LINK)

The 2014 Warwickshire Seniors Matchpplay Final - Kenilworth GC - Friday 8th August. The new champion is Peter Holt, a stalwart of Warwickshire Golf and someone who has played competitively since his junior days - with lots of individual and team success throughout his golfing career. But not many Unions trophies have come Peter's way ... (15/8 - VIDEO ADDED)
- A New Hope - Return of the Broadhurst Jedi
The Final of the 2014 Boys Matchplay Championship - Kenilworth GC - Friday 8th August. Warwickshire has produced some incredibly talented golfers - in recent times (say from the 70s) the likes of Peter McEvoy then a string of our players who turned professional such as Carl Sunesson, Steve Webster, Andy Sullivan, Sam Walker, Tom Whitehouse - and of course Paul Broadhurst. Whether his son Sam will reach Paul's tournament heights, winning trophies is part of the fun of amateur golf, is something for the future, but for now, Sam has gone home to show his father a second Union Trophy after a big win in today's final.(15/8 VIDEO ADDED)
- 'Golden Fleece'
The fourth County match of the season would see Warwickshire at home to Derbyshire at Robin Hood Golf Club near Shirley. Robin Hood is a wonderful parkland layout that over the last few years has invested heavily in its biggest asset, its course. Recent changes to the course has seen the redesign of some of the holes, the relaying of greens and the construction of new water features on at least three of the holes (Report includes a link to our video)

Warwickshire U16s vs Shropshire & Hereford U16s Saturday 2nd August 2014 - Church Stretton GC - The long trip to Church Stretton proved to be a valuable experience in many ways. The course is short by today's standards but when you add in the 30 mph winds and driving rain during the day, it made for a true test of golf.

Waarks 2nds vs Derbyshire - Sunday 2rd August - Erewash Valley GC - A Warwickshire 2nd Team which included five (forced) changes since our impressive 12.5-2.5 win over Notts just 4 weeks earlier, traveled to Erewash Valley Golf Club for a Saturday afternoon practice round.
