The fifth County match of the season would see Warwickshire away to Worcestershire and a new venue for the home team Hagley Golf Club near Stourbridge. Hagley as you would expect is a parkland layout and originally started out as a 9 hole golf course. The course is definitely one of two halves with a tight and ditch strewn first nine complemented by an undulating and hilly second nine holes.
- Lords of the Manor
With the weather forecast looking positively tropical, seven of Sunday's 10 man Warwickshire 2nd team took to the Ingon Manor Golf Course for a Saturday afternoon practice round to acquaint ourselves with the hilly and at times challenging layout.
- The Warwickshire Open - The U16s and The U4s - and the 1sts & 2nds
The 2014 Warwickshire Open will be played next Monday 8th September at Walmley GC. Paul Broadhurst (pictured) was last year's Champion but he was unable to play in the Warwickshire Pros, the qualifier for our pros, and so will not be able to defend his title. His son Sam, now off 1, is playing as are nearly all our best amateurs, ready to take the title back. Many will have played the day before in the last Midland League Matches of this year, and our U16s and U14s have been in action.
