This was where, in 2006, she had defied even worse conditions (bucket fulls of rain and a howling gale) to take her first piece of County silverwear.
Out in 37 ('No - not very good' -said the repeat champion) - Elizabeth had a three shot lead over Charlotte Taylor and last year's champion Katrina Garni. Charlotte pulled one shot back for a 78 and second, with Katrina two shots more on 80.
'I have lots of exams coming up - and I've not played much (enough)' added Elizabeth, ranking in the very new World Amateur Golf Rankings somewhere around 800. There were no points on offer at the Schools but winning is a habit and Elizabeth has it.
Defending champion Tom Ibbertson, really wanting his last chance at the English Schools title and and England Capt after his misfortune last summer, hit a 405 yard drive but could not buy a putt and thought his 73 (+1) wasn't good enough to make the team, but any course in hard and windy conditions was always going to test the field and the tree liend Ingon fairways did punish any wayward hitting.
Tom went out in in 37 whilst Michael was four shots better and that included a par at Ingon's 9th, the course's easiest par five. Theer was a hic-cup for the eventual champion at the 11th from which he responded with pars throught to making another birdie on the 16th.
Ingon's 17th is notorious, a long par three with a big carry over water. The tee was mvoed forward for the Schools but it played straight into the wid whilst the 18th has trees straight off the fairway for a hook and water right for a slice - and was played into a hard right to left win.
Only one person birdied the 17th all day - Sam Gill who shot a 75 for T5th place. Tom played the pair in par. Micheal went boegy double but his 72 was good enough - by a shot.
Adam Lumley had the best back-nine of the Top 5 for a 74 and third and a place in the Midlands Schools at Hollinwell with then the chance to go and qualify for the Ehnglish Schools.
The U16s went to a new face - Callum Reay with a 78 - but it was the smae faces as in 2010 whi picked up the team trophy and will now go to the English Schools Championships.
Despite having had significant handicap reductions last year when winning at the Schools and throughout the summer, Tom and Ben Charley, accompanying Josh Davenport to form the King Henry's team, had all obviously been putting in lots of work on swings and short games over the winter. Their 81 points gave them a comfrtable seven shot win over Solihull Colllege II. They were helped by Ben taking the Best Nett prize with a 65.
