It is further hoped that these committees will be able to encourage and assist those clubs not currently active in junior golf to become so, a valuable tool for clubs seeking new members.
The committees will be autonomous bodies, setting their own agenda within the parameters of improving the running of junior golf within the county, giving greater enjoyment to juniors, increasing the number of junior playing members and encouraging and helping more juniors to achieve county-player standard.
Each area, the county being divided into North West, North East, South West and South East (lists available to download), have undertaken to hold an inaugural meeting before June 15 and have appointed a convener to ensure that this takes place.
There will be regular meetings of committee chairmen, who will have direct contact with the County Junior Chairman and Committee, thus ensuring a complete chain of contact from County Board to individual junior organisers.
It is believed that this is a unique initiative for county junior organisation and, it is hoped and expected, will keep Warwickshire at the forefront of county junior golf.
