In the morning session, Alison talked of the importance of nutrition, fitness and preparation for playing competitive golf. Interesting and informative enough, but when a few anecdotes and experiences from behind the scenes of Alison's career were thrown in, her audience was captivated.

The squad were let out into the afternoon sunshine after lunch to try out skills tests on the putting green, followed by tuition on bunker shots - all good preparation for the County Championships and County Week in June.

The day passed all too quickly. Thanks must go to Copt Heath and its members for allowing us use of the course and to Alison Nicholas for sharing her knowledge and experience.

The squad wished her and her team every success at the Solheim Cup to be held at Killeen Castle this September.
