We all set off in our summer gear, quite surprised to be doing so in late September but quite expecting to come in with a good score on this perfect morning!!! Some did but many struggled, especially with the pace of the greens!

Winner of the Bronze Division was home member Charlotte PRIDDLE, pictured, with an excellent score of 38 points, with Karen ASTON (Wishaw Golf & Country Club) 2nd, again with 38 points and 3rd Izzy BARTRAM (Harborne Golf Club) on 35 points.

In the Silver Division, there were ties with countbacks as the first three players came in with 36 points each. Ist prize was awarded to Ann WARDLE (Walmley Golf Club), pictured, with 2nd place going to Claire DOWLING (Copt Heath Golf Club) and 3rd going to home player and next Year's Captain of Warwickshire Ladies, Bobbie WAUGH.

In her speech prior to presentation of the prizes, Dottie Beanland, County Captain reminded the assembled company about how the Joyce Nichol Trophies came about. She commented " whilst a member at Leamington & County GC, Joyce had held the office of Hon Secretary of the County Ladies from 1955 to 1970. In recognition of her stalwart efforts for the County over such a prolonged period, the County donated both Trophies in her name. The trophies are most unusual, as the winners of each Division have their signatures engraved on their trophy along with all other winners since 1972, when the competition commenced."

She also congratulated all of the winners and sincerely thanked Moor Hall for the loan of their course and the help given on the day.
