The first match set the pace as, having lost the first hole, they quickly pulled back on the next. After some excellent play, they finally won their match by 3 and 2. Abbey and Hannah gelled well and produced some excellent play overall, sinking many putts when required. Today was a very special day for Hannah as she received her Warwickshire County Colours - you can imagine her delight. They won their match on the 15th by 4 and 3. Claire and Charlotte made it three in a row when they gained a 2 and 1 win, having played some very steady golf. The first clean sweep of the morning foursomes this week, it augers well for the afternoon singles!

Captains' picks for the afternoon singles were Abbey Gittings, Claire Howells, Charlotte Dalton, Elizabeth Mallett. Elizabeth Haycock and Hannah Coles.County Champion Abbey maintained her winning ways and was 4 up at the turn and then played some very steady golf to eventually clinch the match on the 16th, by 4 and 2. Claire did not fare as well today in the singles as she was down at the 9th and never managed to get back on to level terms, losing eventually on the 16th, by 3 and 2.

Charlotte, having played in all 4 of the singles matches this week, gained a further win of 3 and 2. This is some achievement as the win today made it 4 in a row for Charlotte in the singles! Liz Mallett was on top form for her encounter and was never down in this match. Playing exceptionally well, she won by 5 and 4 on the 14th. Liz Haycock came out fighting and won the first four holes. By the turn she was 3 up, had

an eagle on the 13th and with a half on the 14th won her match by 5 and 4, thus

continuing her winning form. Yesterday Liz also won her Warwickshire County

Colours - well done to both girls. Big hitting Hannah was never up all afternoon, but she took the match to the 18th, where unfortunately she lost by 2 down.

At the end of play, Warwickshire County Vice Captain Dottie Beanland said "The

Team continues to display strength and determination and are a credit to us all. These girls are a delight to watch -PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT THEM ON THE

LAST DAY, IF YOU CAN"

Warwickshire's result today was a win by 7 games to 2 and keeps them in the lead by 4 points to Oxfordshire's 3.
