County Week is one week earlier than last year and therefore our junior element of the last two years is unable to compete as they are all taking their all-important GCSE examinations. However, Warwickshire has experience and depth and we are taking a more experienced side to the finals this year. This includes our one junior, Charlotte Taylor who is only 13 years of age but already has the experience of having played in County Finals last year at Pleasington Golf Club!
Having won through to County Finals for the last two years, all the other counties in the region will be determined to knock Warwickshire off its perch - but we have no intention of giving in to them! We have prepared as well as possible and I am confident the team is ready and will do well. We will fight hard to win through yet again!
Our Warwickshire Team includes:
Kath Ashley (Nuneaton) - Lisa Barton (Coventry) - Hannah Coles (Maxstoke) - Hannah Crump (Copt Heath) - Charlotte Dalton (Ladbrook Park) - Liz Galland (The Warwickshire) - Abbey Gittings (Walmley) - Liz Haycock (Moseley) - Claire Howells (Moor Hall) - Rachel Rusted (Nuneaton) - Charlotte Taylor (Rugby)
We would value your support over the week wearing the blue and yellow of Warwickshire if possible! I know Goring is quite a way for you to travel but your support would be more than welcome. More caddies than normal are required during the week as it is a hilly course so if you feel you could manage 18 holes please contact our caddy master for the week: Elizabeth Murdoch, tel: 01926 624503 or e.murdoch@ukonline.co.uk
I wish them all well as I am sure you do too - Good Luck Team Warwickshire!
