Commencing Monday 14 June 2010, Warwickshire will again play each county team over five days in the Midlands South region - Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Before commencement of the competition the Captain names up to 12 players who comprise her team. The format is 3 x Foursomes in the morning session and 6 singles in the afternoon session. Points are awarded for wins and halves. The Captain nominates 8 players from her team of up to 12 to play each day.

County Week is one week earlier than last year and therefore our junior element of the last two years is unable to compete as they are all taking their all-important GCSE examinations. However, Warwickshire has experience and depth and we are taking a more experienced side to the finals this year. This includes our one junior, Charlotte Taylor who is only 13 years of age but already has the experience of having played in County Finals last year at Pleasington Golf Club!

Having won through to County Finals for the last two years, all the other counties in the region will be determined to knock Warwickshire off its perch - but we have no intention of giving in to them! We have prepared as well as possible and I am confident the team is ready and will do well. We will fight hard to win through yet again!
