First out this afternoon singles was Liz Haycock, who after going two down early on fought back to level things on the Par 5 15th. She then lost the treacherous 17th hole but proceeded to win the 18th, to finish her match All Square.
Abbey Gittings was next out and was never down in her match, finishing on the Par 3 16th, leaving her Tee shot 4 inches from the hole. She won 3 and 2.
Lisa Barton had a tight match which included holing her second shot on the very difficult, downhill 14th. This was her second eagle on a par 4 this week - some feat - and she finally won her match 1 up.
Rachel Rusted, playing in her first Singles match of the week, continued her very steady play of the morning session, having a very tight match, finally losing 3 and 2.
Charlotte Taylor in her first County Week venture and youngest member of the squad finished a great week's golf by having 2 Birdies and an Eagle on her card before losing on the final hole.
Liz Galland also playing in her first singles match of the week started off in fine form with an 18 inch gimmee birdie on the 2nd. She went on to Birdie the 10th and 15th holes and this despite injuring her ankle whilst walking, just missed out on a win.
The Team finished with a smile on their faces after a difficult and very tiring week up and down all those hills. Despite being very disappointed that they could not make it three in a row for Warwickshire, they congratulated the winning Team, Northamptonshire and wished them well in the finals.
