Lisa Barton playing with Victoria Mallett (playing in her first match) led the way, unfortunately losing 3/1. Hannah Coles and Charlotte Taylor had a tough time eventually losing their match. The new pairing of Elizabeth Haycock with Melissa Nichol fared much better winning 5/4 thus giving Oxford a 2/1 lead.

With ever improving weather Lisa Barton was first out for Warwickshire eventually losing her match 3/2. The next report comes from Melissa Nichol's caddy - "Melissa started fantastically and a birdie on the 4th put her solidly 3 up. However, her opponent came back well leaving Melissa one up after nine. Nervous golf from both players resulted in a number of holes halved but Melissa managed to stay 1 up until the 18th. Unfortunately she put a 5 iron out of bounds off the tee and despite a fabulous drive to the front of the green with her next tee shot she lost the hole to a fine birdie. The match was halved".

Rachel's caddy wrote "Rachel battled hard throughout this match despite struggling a little with her driving and coming up against an opponent who putted well. A valiant effort despite losing to a birdie on the 1st and final hole she lost 6/4".

Hannah Cole, determined to make up for the mornings defeat, started with a super birdie on the 1st and never looked back eventually winning 5/4.

Charlotte Taylor playing 5th, had a tough match and her caddy said "Charlotte bounced back after losing the 1st to a birdie. A close match until her opponent edged 2 up after 12 holes. A super sand save on the par 3 15th brought the match to one down. The next 3 holes were halved so she lost 1 down".

Last out this time was Elizabeth Haycock, with caddy Margaret Sheepy. Margaret commented "despite not feeling quite comfortable with her game she did produce some fine golf. Going 2 down early on in the match she fought hard and won 4 holes in a row to take a lead of 2 after 10 holes. Her second shot to the tough par 5 14th only just missed the hole and she went 3 up with four to play. A Half on the 15th was followed by a loss of hole on 16th to a birdie. The match was then conceded on the 17th".

All this meant a loss to Warwickshire 3 1/2 to 5 1/2.
