Foursomes pairings this morning were led out by Abbey GITTINGS and Hannah COLE and they went all the way to the 18th, with a half as the result.

Next were Rachel RUSTED and Charlotte TAYLOR who regrettably lost their match.

A win came for Claire HOWELLS and Melissa NICHOL, again going to the 18th where they halved the hole after the scare of Melissa's ball going out of bounds off the tee. They won by 1 hole making the morning's play All Square.

The afternoon started with the look of rain all about, but once again we were blessed with fine weather. Was it going to be another nail biting afternoon session we wondered? First off was Abbey GITTINGS, who went 2 up after 4 holes but was soon back to level by the 7th and then 1 down after 9. Birdies from both sides continued and after being 1 up after 15, Abbey went from strength to strength to give us a win on the 17th hole.

Liz HAYCOCK was 2 down after 13, but after the first birdee of the day on the 14th for a win and having parred the 15th, went All Square. The 18th was again the testing hole and regrettably Liz lost on this occasion.

Hannah COLE had a bad afternoon for her and was dormy 3 after an excellent par 3 on the 15th. Unfortunately this afternoon was not to be hers and she finished with a loss.

Another struggle in the 4th match, where Claire HOWELLS went quickly down by 3 on the 8th having birdied the 1st for a win. She held it until the 14th when she went 4 down, but gave us hope on the 15th when she made an up and down Par 3. She too, however lost on the 16th.

After a quiet start Melissa NICHOL, played some fantastic golf with great iron shots and putts. She birdied the 7th, lost the 8th to a par but by that time was 1 up. On 15, she hit a magnificent iron shot to 2ft from the pin and walked off with a birdee to go dormie 2. She eventually won her match 2 and 1.

Lisa BARTON was last out and was 2 down after 8, then 3 down by 12th. She had pulled it back to 1 down by 14th green, and having parred the 15th with a 3, made it All Square. An out of character chip into the bunker on the 17th matched by great putting by her opponent meant that this hole was lost. The match was lost on the 18th.
