Editor Comment- It became a very wet day yesterday with stoical players dripping to an end, in wonderful spirits. Atherstone won the nett for the first time and Stratford won the gross, on Sheelagh Murray s 60th birthday. It should have been a great event .....

THE SAD NEWS is that at least 3 ladies had their clubs stolen from the extended car park. This included members of the winning team, and Gillian Stewart, the Warwickshire SSA.
Thefts have happened both during the daytime and evenings at Clubs all over the Midlands - golfers need to be more aware of looking after their clubs and personal property wherever they go. It is appalling that these thefts happen and our sympathies go to those people whose property was stolen at Ladbrook and during other recent robberies.
If you saw anything you think might be important (re this Championship), please contact Solihull Police Station. You may see clubs on offer in all sorts of media or at sales - don t be tempted by such bargains - you could be buying stolen property!
