At the end of the morning only 3 shots separated the leading Gross scores. Melissa NICOL (Moor Hall) lead the field with 79, nett 70. She was closely followed by Charlotte TAYLOR(Northamptonshire County) on 80 and Hannah Pearl WOOD(Nuneaton) on 81, nett 73. The Nett competition was also close with Ellie BERWICK (Shirley) on 72 and Kyrie ROSS-MADDEN (Maxstoke) and Sophie THOMPSON (Marston Lakes) in contention with 74.

Both Hannah Pearl and Melissa had their problems in the afternoon but a 2 for Melissa on the 11th steadied her round to finish with 85. Charlotte TAYLOR (pictured centre) despite a triple on the 3rd went round in 78 to clinch the title from Melissa who won the Stratford Cup. Third place went to Katrina GANI (Shirley).

Meanwhile the battle for the Estelle Goodman Trophy was between playing partners Ellie BERWICK and Sophie THOMPSON, who was playing in her first 36 holes event. Ellie followed her morning round of 72 with 73. Sophie countered with 74 and 72 so Ellie (pictured left) took the title. A good afternoon round of nett 71 meant Charlotte HARTSHORN (Nuneaton) took third prize.

The girls playing in the 18 holes championship found the course tough. Victoria MALLETT (pictured right) won the Pam Large Trophy and the Harborne Cup with 85, nett 75. Lucy MUNRO just lost out on the back 9 with her nett 75 on taking the trophy but had 1st prize as consolation. Abi MORTIMER-LANE(Rugby) was 2nd in the gross competition followed by Amber MacDONALD (Coventry). Francesca PALSER (Olton) took 2nd nett prize and Jodie CHUBB (Sutton Coldfield) 3rd prize.

Longest drives went to Erika DEAN and Victoria MALLETT. Nearest the pin went to Hannah Pearl WOOD and Jodie CHUBB.

Charlotte TAYLOR qualified for the Midlands Champion of Champions and Hannah Pearl WOOD for the 16-18 age group. Charlotte TAYLOR also won the Abu Dhabi/ Daily Telegraph gross prize of a Wormwood tee shirt and Victoria MALLETT?s score goes through as best U14.
