League Match v WORCESTERSHIRE & HEREFORDSHIRE

The return match to decide the finalists for the Midlands South Scratch and Handicap League was played at Kings Norton on 17th August. Like the first round, the team had several missing due to other commitments and injury so it was a tough fixture.

In the Scratch League, Worcestershire & Herefordshire got off to a strong start by winning the first two and final matches. Melissa Nicol and Katrina Gani pulled off wins in tight matches and Charlotte Hartshorn battled to the end to square her match for a vital half point. WARWICKSHIRE Lost 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 on the day but thanks to their 4 to 2 victory in May they go through 6 1/2 to 5 1/2 winners to face Buckinghamshire at Gaudet Luce Worcestershire, on Sunday 3rd October.

The Handicap League team also lost on the day 2 to 1 so Worcestershire & Herefordshire go through to the final on 3rd October.
