1st Midlands South League Girls Match 2010

On one of the hottest days so far this year the team faced Worcestershire & Herefordshire in the first Midlands South league match of the year. Copt Heath was the venue and the match was played on Sunday 23rd May. The exams season meant some of our most experienced players were unavailable, so how did the team fare?

The Scratch team won by 4 matches to 2 and the Handicap team lost 2 to 1. The return match on 11th August at North Worcestershire will decide which team will face the winners from the south of the county in the final at Temple Golf Club, Berkshire on 4th October.

Warwickshire also won the Experience match 2 to 1.

Charlotte Taylor was captain for the day and Abi Mortimer-Lane was awarded her team colours. Hannah Rice didn't have an ace this week but produced more excitement with an eagle on the 15th.
