The Girls Match Play Finals were held at Gaudet Luce, Worcestershire, on Wednesday 27th October, postponed from the rained out Ryder Cup weekend. Warwickshire was represented in the scratch final with a team of 6 against Buckinghamshire. It was a bright and breezy day after overnight rain.
The team was lead off by Lauren TAYLOR who played her acting captain part by winning 4 & 3. Charlotte TAYLOR just lost out to her big hitting opponent, finishing 1 down. Melissa NICOL met a birdie barrage on the front 9 and lost 4 & 3. Hannah Pearl WOOD went one hole further but also lost 3 & 2. Katrina GANI fought back to take her match to the 18th to finish all square. In the last match, Victoria MALLETT won her match 4 & 3, continuing her good form having just reduced her handicap to 8.
