Scores for the day were the closest so far this season. The winners, with 34 points on count back, were Gill Winstanley and Kate Bridgwater from The Warwickshire. The runners up also with 34 points were Barbara Kelsey and Debra Warren from Wishaw. Teams from Stratford-upon-Avon, West Midlands and Walmley all came close with 33 points, with the rest of the field not far behind.

Whitefields Lady Vice Captain, Jenny Cook, welcomed everyone and especially the County Captain Bobbi Waugh, who had been on hand all day. Bobbi thanked the Golf Complex Manager Steve Postlethwaite for ensuring the day went so smoothly and Catering Manager Richard Tebay and his staff, Dalia and Millie, for providing the food and good service. Bobbi also thanked Lady Captain Kathleen Lynch for organising the day so well and for helping on the desk with Jean Simpson and Barbara Ancliff. She also thanked Jenny for doing a very efficient job of directing and introducing the teams to their playing partners and sending them in the direction of the first tee where Bobbi kindly took on the role of starter.

Again the ladies supported the County coaching by buying raffle tickets for the Ball Sweep, raising £ 45.00.

Two more Winter Alliances to go - 6th February at Robin Hood and 5th March at Stonebridge, hopefully the weather will remain kind to us!
