Out of the squad of 11 only 5 players are over the age of 20, the average age plummets once more! The team may be young but 12 months on, they have gained more experience and are proving themselves on the wider golfing stage.

Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Worcester & Herefordshire will all be arriving fired up for the week long competition. They will all come with the same aim - to beat Warwickshire - last year's winners, and a desire to lift the trophy themselves. 2008 was the first foray into the 5 day County competition; we were all journeying uncharted waters and the Warwickshire team was itself an unknown quantity. This year will be very different - everyone knows the score - but we have no intention of giving up our title without a fight!

The team always responds well to an army of spectators wearing NAVY & YELLOW.

I certainly wish our team the very best of luck as I am sure you do to - they have all worked extremely hard - the proof of the pudding will be in the eating!!

Refreshments will be available in the clubhouse and Halfway House for spectators and if the sun shines we should be in for a fabulous week in every respect.
