The 24 Warwickshire teams competing thoroughly enjoyed their day and complimented Mr Mark Harryh and his father on the condition of the course. Lots of hard work from everyone involved, including the green staff, administration staff, all the catering team and the professional shop staff helped to make the day a great success.

Ladies' Captain Dorothy Birchall did a fine job as starter whilst volunteer Sally Edwards on the registration desk, ensured everyone set off on time.

In the comfort of the restaurant, the early finishers had the satisfaction of watching their fellow competitors tackle the daunting island green on the last hole. Fascinating entertainment which kept most ladies staying until the prize giving!

It was a really close contest in this Greensome Stableford competition and Bev Belcher, in her final competition duty as County Captain, was delighted to present the first prize to members from her own club!

Many congratulations to:

The Winners: Olton GC - Del Lakin-Hall and Chris Mosley - 39 points OCB

Runners Up: Leamington and County GC - Gill Thorpe and Kath Howell - 39 Points OCB

Third Place: Henley GC - Jenny Roberts and Jane Parkin - 38 points

Special thanks to volunteers Jenny Lynes and Hilary Bradley for jointly being such wonderful sales ladies and raising over 78.00 pounds on the ball sweep which helps to fund the Warwickshire Girls. Thanks to all the competitors for supporting our youngsters.

I look forward to seeing you at Henley GC for the next Alliance on Saturday 12th December.
