Starting the final day some 6 shots behind Lauren Tayor, who after 2 days was joint Leader at 6 under par, Elizabeth played 2 stunning rounds carding a 70 and 69 respectively, finishing the Championship on 7 under par. Lauren, who finished 1 shot behind after the four rounds found that the putts just would not drop on the final day.

Having just finished her exams in May, Elizabeth 16, is in a rich vein of form as she had recently set a new course record of 64 - 3 better than the previous record - at Sutton Coldfield. Within this round she had a Hole in One at the Par 3, 17th, the first she has managed on her home course. This gives her a new handicap of -1.9.

Last year as well as winning the English U15 Championship, Elizabeth was then Runner-up in the British Girls Championship. Elizabeth said "Last year was the best week ever, but now this week has topped it"
