Edgbaston was looking good and playing well with actual green grass on the fairways - something that some of us have not seen for a few weeks!! With 68 players competing in pairs in a medal better ball format, the score of 63 was fantastic, but as Dottie said after the presentation "Liz could just do no wrong - her putts were dropping from all distances whereas I came in on the occasional hole!" (Liz & Dottie are pictured - centre)

Second Nett with a 65 were the pairing of Jeanette GRIMSTON and June HABBERJAM from Coventry Golf Club.

Receiving the Harthill Jubilee Goblets for the best Gross of the day were Pat HALE (Edgbaston) and Marsha BUTTON (Nuneaton) who scored and excellent Gross 71. (Pat & Marsha are pictured - left)

The Summer Salvers, presented to the pair scoring the best Nett for the combined 40 and over Handicap division went to Louise PATERSON and Barbara THOMAS, both from Edgbaston, who carded a Nett 64. (Louise & Barbara are pictured - right). Runners up for this division were Trisha SADIQ and Janet VAKIL, also from Edgbaston, who scored a Nett 65.

Other prizes were awarded to:-

Liz MUNTON (Leamington & County) for Nearest the Pin on the 7th and

Tracy GUPWELL (Sutton Coldfield Ladies) who had the Longest Drive on the 15th hole.

Congratulations to all the winners and special thanks to Lyle & Scott our Sponsors, and everyone at Edgbaston Golf Club, who helped to make this such a lovely day.
