Lewine is a very well known golfing journalist, having spent 17 years at The Daily Telegraph, 10 of those as the golf correspondent. Today she is freelance and writes for Women & Golf, Global Golf Post, The Hong Kong Golfer and many more.

We are proud of Lewine's connection with Warwickshire Ladies County Golf as she was born and brought up in Birmingham, playing and practicing at Edgbaston Golf Club in her early years into golf. She was very active in County Golf in her teenage years in the early 60's and was selected for the County team in 1963 where she achieved an unbeaten record. The team went on to win the English Championship defeating Lancashire of the final day, with Lewine at that time being the youngest player to appear in the finals.

Lewine now lives in Edinburgh and we were very appreciative of her efforts to join us and also very pleased to support her charity 'ON COURSE FOUNDATION' which paves the way for wounded servicemen to play golf.

WLCGA received great support from their sponsors, RUDELL the Jewellers of Harborne and Wolverhampton, who displayed a large selection of their jewellery and we thank them sincerely.

Similarly other sponsors and Raffle prize donors including The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club, Clarins at 'Aura', Andy Dunbar Golf Academy at Stratford Oaks, Steve Yates, Professional at Kenilworth Golf Club, Edgbaston Golf Club, Waitrose and Women and Golf Magazine were also thanked profusely by Dottie Beanland, County Captain.

One final 'thank you' went the two main organisers of the event, Liz Murdoch and Rosemary Holding whose hard work and dedication made this a memorable day.
