Max Martin had a third nine of 37 (+1), missing an 8ft birdie putt at his last (a putt which would have given him second place overall had it gone in) to end up fourth. Max still won the U12s Prize (by 16 shots) and nearly tied the low nine holes of the day which Rhys posted to complete his 75.
Jake Clorley has come down from 9 to 6 over this season whilst Louis can better that through dropping his handicap from 8 to 12. Rhys has knocked two shots off his handicap notably by coming third in Hearsall's Junior Club Championships plus he has used his experience to win all four of his singles matches for the U14s County side. He played the last three in very much a matchplay style.
With three holes to go, Rhys was tied at +6 with his playing partner Pett. Behind them Clorley would birdie one of North Warks toughest holes with a 3 iron to 6ft, to join the pair at +6.
As it was, Pett dropped a shot at the 7th when he missed the green although he nearly made a two when he lipped out with his chip from behind the green. Both Lawrence and Pett parred the 8th so when Clorley bogied that hole, Rhys had a one shot lead.
He doubled that by making a three at the last for his two shot win
?That was tough,? said Lawrence, ?I made five birdies on the day.?
Will Kirby from Brandon Wood was best nett on the day with a score of 100.
