Matt Nixon has put in many hours sorting accommodation and county kit for the team and I must thank Matt on behalf of the team for his hard work which has enabled the team and myself to concentrate solely on getting prepared for the matches.

My team are Tom Ibbertson, Sam Dodds, Rob Browning, Jamie Carney, Fred Jewsbury, Chris Dougill and myself, with Elliott Forbes as 1st reserve.

The matches are the same as our county league games apart from the numbers, we have three foursomes in the morning and six singles each afternoon played over three days this will enable me to rest one player from each session and this will be needed with so much golf played over the four days including the practice day.

The counties that have qualified for this week are Wiltshire, Lancashire and Surrey all very strong counties with excellent players and the competition will be extremely tough but I am sure you will all agree we have a team that will compete with the best any other county can put together and the lads will do Warwickshire proud.
