Its actually pointless writing any more of a review of something this good. When you stick Tiger Woods with Garry Player, David Leadbetter with Butch Harmon, Jack Nicklaus with Ben Hogan, Micky Wright with Anneka Sorenstam, Seve with Ernie - this list doesn't end - and then have the golfing wordsmiths of Kapriske and such as Dan Jenkins.

Basically, take 100 - no 1000 - editions of your favorite golf magazine, rip out the adverts and the trends, all the gumph about clubs, all the PR for new courses who need all the help they can get, and those where a bacon roll costs more than a pig and those who do home loans to purchase a green fee, and finally the history of tournaments both as previews and then reviews - and you have 244 pages of brilliant stocking filler.

Buy this for the golfing nutter (male or female) and they won't be bothered with Doctor Who on Christmas Day. In fact you might not hear from them until the New Year.

For those of us not so obsessive, but whose armories have the odd weaknesses, you're sure to find the answer here, simply told and many times with a picture to help.

What are you waiting for - Christmas?
