Advanced PGA professional Craig Singleton, training executive for coach education at the National Training Academy, indicated that the new green, which will replace the original laid down six years ago, will have immense benefit to the Association and its members.
'Technology moves on and the quality and performance has moved on since the first indoor putting green was installed,' he said.
'It's important that the PGA have the best that's out there on the market.
'Some people argue that putting is half the game of golf so having such a true surface to practise and teach putting on, especially when the weather is inclement, is just perfect.
'Combining it with the very latest computer analysis in putting it's possible to gather pin-point results and increase putting accuracy.
'I'm confident that this green will become a magnet for the assistants.'
In addition to the new putting surface, Huxley Golf also supplied a modular green, a DIY transportable green which will also be used in coaching the art.
'We appreciate the work Huxley has done at the PGA and we look forward to a continued relationship when we move to our new base on the Belfry in the coming years,' said Singleton.
'We're both keen to look at what we can achieve when we move to our new facility and that includes having a totally unique putting and chipping experience.'
Paul Chester, sales manager for Huxley Golf, personally oversaw the installation at PGA headquarters and explained the significance of the new surface.
'It is six or seven years since we installed the first putting green and in that time technology has moved on and materials have improved so we were more than happy to update the surface,' he said.
'The major improvement is the appearance of the green is more enhanced while the roll of the ball will remain as true as ever.'
Huxley Golf is the market leader in their field having accrued more than 50 years experience supplying the golf industry since the family-run business was founded by Edward Huxley.
