Conditions are excellent, despite a cold Winter in the South of Spain, and in a couple of weeks time the club will host a European Tour event. Andy's scores for the 36 hole qualifying will be here on Thursday night, hopefullly with good news of a place in the 32 who will then compete for the Championship itself.
Warwickshire professional Craig Phillips knows exactly what is in store for him at the Grand Final of the Gulf Air International Pro-Captain Challenge, supported by BMW, as he has heard about it from the most impeccable of sources.
Phillips, with amateur partner Liam McHugh, was paired with two-time winner - and outgoing champion - Brian Rimmer from Little Aston in their qualifier.
So the pair have no excuse for not knowing what to expect when, after being chauffeur-driven to the airport, they fly out to Bahrain for this week.
'Having spoken to Brian, it is certainly a trip to look forward to,' said Phillips.
'It is always nice to go in luxury; right from the start, with BMW picking us up from the club and then the flight.
'Liam and I have been chatting about it all the time just waiting for it to come around.
'We've been liaising as to what we are taking - fortunately it's going to be polo shirts rather than winter garb!"
Playing golf in warmer weather, after a miserable British winter, requires a change in attitude according to Phillips.
'It is getting yourself into a different gear, a different mindset,' added the 37-year-old from Nuneaton Golf Club.
Club captain McHugh is feeling confident ahead of the trip.
'We are going out there to enjoy ourselves but we are going to give it our best shot. Maybe it is my competitive nature but we don't intend just to make up the numbers,' said the 12-handicapper.
'There is no pressure on me. I'm sure Craig will do well out there. For me it is all about using my shots on the holes I need to.'
The 36-hole event at the Royal Golf Club, Riffa, takes place on February 24 and 25, and is helping Bahrain establish itself as a golfing hot-spot in the Middle East.
Gulf Air chief executive of Gulf Air is delighted to be the title sponsor of the PGA International Pro-Captain Challenge and to be bringing the cream of the UK's golfing talent to Bahrain for the fifth year.
Six other pairs from the PGA regions, together with the international qualifiers and a professional and captain from the host club, are also taking part.
'As the national carrier and ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, we are unyielding in our support of the Kingdom's ambition to become a recognised sports hub. The new international standard championship golf course at the Royal Golf Club at Riffa Views, really puts Bahrain on the map as a golfing must in the region.
'I hope that the First Class service the players experienced on their outward journey from London Heathrow, including individual attention from our highly qualified onboard Sky Chefs, stands them in good stead for a successful tournament.'
