Andy's first round of 79 was marked by two double bogies at the 2nd and the 14th, two of Seville GC's toughest par fours.

It left him four shots outside the prospective cut where although the leading score was a 67 on a course which has hosted the Spanish Open and will in four weeks time do the honours for the Open de Andaluc?a for the European Tour, most of the field were between 73 and 78 and 75 seemed to be the 'mark'.

That was before the winds blew hard from the east today(around 20mph) - and the greens on a tough course got even tougher.

Andy again made two errors (and again on the 2nd) but today his 79 was actually a pretty good score as half the field found 80 tough to get ? and his two doubles were the result of some horrendous luck.

Like many who haven't been able to play much for the last few weeks with our recent cold snap, Andy has been finding his game over the past two weeks, bit by bit, and his final 7 holes were level par, something many of the rest of the field would have paid handsomely for ? were such a score available by that means.

It was all a bit too late as the prospective 150 qualifying mark soon became 154!

The final 32 is a really mix of English, Scottish, Spanish and Northern Europeans, 32 players who will be whittled down to a pair of finalists for Sunday morning. News of the winner will follow.
