There should have been a third player in the three hole decider but Josh Davenport, having been four ahead with five to play came unstuck when he went over the green at his 17th hole and could not keep his chip on the severely sloping (away) green.
The play-off seemed to be going to Garside with a birdie on the second of the three holes. He did though make a mistake at the last and compounded it when he didn't take time over a short bogey putt and missed that to hand Gnyla the trophy for one last time.
In the all Warwickshire match, Rob Browning and Chris Dougill led out at one and 'chuckled' their way to a 1up win. Louis and Vice captain Dave had a tough game but some late birdies proved crucial and their 5 under total was good enough to close the match on the 17th.
Sean Young and Nev Gardner closed their game on the 18th with Sean making a birdie and the final pairing of Tony Gascoigne and Ian Stranks were first into the bar after a front nine birdie barrage which proved too strong for the girls.
Many thanks to Dottie Beanland and her side for an enjoyable fixture and we would like to wish the ladies all the best for their competitive fixtures this year and thanks to John Powell for his support on the day.
Back at Stoneleigh. Josh Davenport will have another year but both Stefan and Elliot now go into Boys golf. Gnyla took nine shots off his handicap in 2009 - more is to come.
