Stonebridge has a new nine holes but with six of our team (and four from Worcs) playing there regularly because of their going to Solihull College, the standard of golf was good. With nine holes to play, neither team had a distinct advantage bar our No3 Sam Teather having an off day and being five down.

That all changed in the first few holes of the back nine. Our Boys Captain Ryan Wallace run into some excellent golf from Worcs No1 Tom Warbrick whilst Sam Teather was soon back in the clubhouse.

These results gave Worcs back the lead and that should have been short-lived bar a three putt on the last from Michael Pell, leaving him with a half instead of a win.

Ben Stokes could not keep up with his opposition's excellent putting and he lost 3&2. That point was countered when George Allen produced some excellent golf for a 4&2 win only for the team to go behind again with a loss on the 16th from Robert Owens.

With four matches left, Warwickshire were ahead in two, down in one (a very infrequent off day from Adam Lumley) and all square in the form of George Butler.

Nathan Ray was playing at No10 and won at the 15th whilst Adam lost so the chance of a draw would only happen if both Patrick Skakel and Butler won. Both matches went to the 18th. Patrick halved his match whilst George won 2up - an overall match score of 8-7 - to Worcs.
