Stu is also a seasoned campaigner for the seconds. He has a silky smooth rhythm to his swing and is a great 'holer outer'.

Not only is Stu a great matchplayer, he is capable of some very low medal scores as he demonstrated in winning the Club Championships at Hearsall and also the Mid Warwickshire League finals day.

Stu is a captain's dream as he is the sort of player who can pair up with anybody in foursomes golf (he's even carried me round the course a few times in years gone by!)

Another debutant to county men's golf this season, Will has taken it in his stride. He is a 'fairways and greens' man who also possesses a superb putting stroke.

Will is a delight to play foursomes with as you hit every shot from the middle of the fairway and he holes any return putt you leave him! He appears to be nerveless under pressure.

I am sure Will has many years of county golf ahead of him.

Chris Staite (Harborne)

Singles lost 2 matches

Chris is another county debutant this year. He regularly features in the latter stages of the Bainbridge shield and so it is no surprise that he has performed well in the foursomes sections of the matches.

He is another great putter but there is much more to his game than just the flat stick. I am sure once he breaks his singles duck he will keep winning.

Chris is another player likely to feature at county level for many years to come.

Lloyd Jones (Stoneleigh Deer Park and Coventry Finham)

Lloyd also made his second team debut this year and I am sure he will make many more appearances in the years ahead.
