Sam is another regular second team player of recent seasons who always goes out towards the top of the singles order.
Foss is a winner of the Bainbridge shield with James Bromley and they are an obvious foursomes pairing. Another all round solid player Sam is capable of shooting lots of birdies.
He never gives up as he has demonstrated this season when he has been down in several games but eventually secured a victory.
Antony Gascoigne (Maxstoke Park)
Played 4 matches
Foursomes won all 4 matches
Singles won 3 matches, halved 1 match
Gas is one of the stalwarts of county golf and the seconds in particular over the past few seasons. A great matchplay golfer Antony always features at the top of the county order of merit and he finished top dog this season.
His attention to detail shone out when he produced a hole-by-hole crib sheet for the players at Uttoxeter which was instrumental in our victory there.
Learned a painful lesson at a curry house in Much Wenlock ? balti bowls are prone to burn your fingers!
Ryan Greenwood (Stonebridge)
Played 4 matches
Foursomes won 3 matches, halved 1 match
Singles lost 4 matches
'Yorkie' Ryan moved into the area last year and made his county debut this season.
He is full of confidence in his own ability, which he has in abundance. He is a bit of an enigma as he is unbeaten in foursomes but is yet to break his duck in singles.
All the courses that we played this season were new to Ryan so I expect him to shine next year.
Dale Middleton (Coventry Finham)
Played 3 matches
Foursomes won 3 matches
Singles won 1 match, halved 1 match, lost 1 match
Having spent the last 2 years playing collegiate golf in the USA, Dale's game has come on leaps and bounds.
He has struck up a great foursomes partnership with Elliot which I can see being a pairing for many years to come.
Dale is the quiet man of the squad, he just let's his golf do the talking and boy can it talk!
