I don't think I've ever heard Shaun be fully happy about his game! One day he's not quite striking his irons, the next his driver is misbehaving, then he can?t hole any putts. Goodness help us when the day comes that everything is on song!

Regardless of how he is hitting it Youngy is a steely competitor who never gives up. He has the enviable knack of winning matches.

This was Dutch's first season of Men's golf and he has taken to it like a duck to water. He is the Henrik Stenson of the team as he can hit his 3 wood as far as anybody else's driver.

So laid back he is almost horizontal, but underneath his calm outer shell there lies a true competitor. Dutch would never be caught putting with his glove on, that's just wrong!

Steve Creed (Maxstoke Park)

Creedy came to county golf a little later in life than most, but that makes him no less of a fierce competitor.

Another regular at the top end of the singles order, Steve is a reliable performer who is never seen on the course without his towel tucked in the front of his trousers.

I am delighted that I managed to provide Steve with a county jumper this year as he has been seen in some rather special choices in previous matches!

Steve is on a one man quest to convert the whole of the second team into Chicken Karahi lovers at curry houses.

A member of the firsts squad, Stranksy has played a couple of matches for me. A regular county golfer for many years, Ian hits the ball prodigious distances for one of his stature.

I've put Ian at the top of the order in the two matches he has played for me and so he has played against the toughest of opponents the opposition can field.

Stranksy's love of exceptionally hot curries is the stuff that legends are made of!
