These are the Warwickshire scores from each day of the Midland Youths 2005 being held at Stoke Rochford GC on July 6th, 7th and 8th - the 72 final totals are now posted. The 2005 Midland Youths was won by Gary Boyd (Northants) with a +2 72 hole score of 282. There was very good news for Warwickshire with a third place for Mark Davies (Coventry Hearsall) and a Runners-Up sport in the U18s Cup (and 7th place overall) for Andy Sullivan (Purley Chase and Maxstoke).

Maxstoke Park 'mentor' and 'pupil' will contest the 36 hole final of the 2005 Warwickshire Matchplay Championship after narrow semi-finals wins. Antony Gascoigne is in charge of the U16s and having had a very good Amateur career, followed by a couple of years as a professional and now back to Amateur status after a long period of illness. He overcame 2005 Amateur Champion Paul Randle by the score of 2up having been well down early one by winning the 17th and 18th. His 'protege' Rob Browning missed the Midland Youths to play in the Matchplay and he was down against Louis Meryon in their semi-final before a pair of birdies in the middle of the back nine gave him the edge to win 2&1
