Felicity Johnson wins Daily Telegraph award
English champion Felicity Johnson has won the Daily Telegraph Woman Golfer of the Year trophy for 2005.

The award, which Felicity describes as a ýhuge honourý, recognises her many achievements during the year.

The 18-year-old from Harborne in Warwickshire became one of England 's youngest-ever champions when she won the title at Burnham and Berrow in May and, the newspaper notes, she ýcontinued to make strides throughout the season.ý

Felicity played a part in four major team wins. She helped England win the Home Internationals, the Girls International Matches and the Spirit International Amateur Championship in the USA ; and with GB&I she was part of the winning Vagliano Trophy team.

She rounded off her junior career by winning ELGA's girls' order of merit.
