Boys v Notts - Friendly Match
This is a report on the opening Juniors match from last weekend. The match was played at Whitefields GC on a very cold and breezy day. Warwicks won the morning foursomes 4 1/2 to 1 1/2. Winners were Chris Dougill and Rory Kirwan, Steve Mumford and Andrew Geraghty, John Paul Banbury and Rob Bardsley, Steven Butler and Sam Newey.

We went out confidently in the afternoon, but the singles did not go to plan for half of the team, who found their Notts opponent determined to do better than in the morning.

The afternoon result was 6 each and it was a nail biting finish. The key players were the last boys out. We had gained wins by Rory Kirwan,Steve Mumford James Hale and a half by Andrew Geraghty. The win by Andrew Bate was crucial and the half by Sam Newey made sure, but the win on the last hole in the last match by Steven Butler was a fine acheivement .
