| John Powell, WU County Treasurer, has presented on the County Card scheme at the last two WU AGMs and at the half yearly meetings for Warwickshire Golf Clubs. In those two years, the scheme has grown and grown, and other Counties joined with Warwickshire to make the opportunities for you to play other courses (and for your club to benefit) something very substantial.
If you don't have a County Card, check the LIST of participating clubs, and if your club is already involved, then get yourself a card as soon as you can as it offers you the opportunity to play once in 2006 on any of the courses listed, for a very much reduced green fee.
If you club has not yet joined the scheme, they cannot do so for 2006 but are very welcome to be involved in 2007. And they cannot lose out financially. Its open to both male and female golfers.
Each club can specify the numbers and time for County Card holders to come and play their courses so they can control the extra green fee income they will receive without compromising playing opportunities for their members. If you want to play on another course, you may find that you have to play at a certain time but for a probably less than half price green fee, its well worth it!
You have to have a card and you have to take it with you when you visit another club where your visit will be marked off - its one round only per course in each year.

As golf has developed over the last one hundred years, our County has produced the players who have made history and the management who have taken the game on to become on of the top five World Sports. Players who win a centenary Warwickshire Championship will add their names to a roll of honour for each championship which has a cache that so many other sports wish they could advertise.
Finally, vs the County, have you seen the adverts in your clubs for the special branded Centenary clothing from clothing company New Hampshire.
