From the 10th tee in the morning, next year's County Captain Gareth Jenkins will be looking for much better form that he had for the Amateur. Gareth plays in the company of Andy Bownes who has show a bit of form on the Professional circuit this year.

Rory Kirwan, Mens Matchplay Champion for 2006, is in the middle of the draw, two groups ahead of Andy Sullivan the player Rory beat to take the Matchplay title. Both are very much in contention but the overall result of both cups will probably no be known until the very last player hands in his card.
