NEW JUNIOR LEAGUE FOR WARWICKSHIRE
SPECIAL MEETING ABOUT A NEW PAN-WIDE WARWICKSHIRE JUNIOR LEAGUE - INCLUDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS - You are invited to attend a meeting to discuss the formation and format of a new Junior League for Warwickshire Golf Clubs. It is intended that this will get under way in 2008. The meeting will be held at Ladbrook Park Golf Club on Monday 19 March at 7.30 p.m.

The purpose of the League is to provide inter club competition and social interaction for boys and girls of varying abilities on a structured and manageable basis.

The purpose of the meeting is:

1. To obtain a consensus of views of as many clubs as possible as to how this should be best achieved.

2. To form a sub committee to draw up the rules of the league on that basis.

3. To arrange a date for a further meeting to discuss, amend and approve the rules and to appoint a management committee to administer the league.

It is strongly recommended that you attend, or if you cannot, deputise another member of your club.

(Editors note - pictured is Graham Taylor, Junior Organiser at Ladbrook Park, one of the people who have been involved in the intitial work on the development of this new league. There are a number of Junior Leagues in operation in the region but some cut across County borders and others are regionalsied within our County. Ladbrook, and other clubs, would like to play Junior League Matches against other Warwickshire Clubs, rather than having to travel long distances etc. If you (your club) is already in another League, this meeting is about starting a new league which may offer other options for you and your Juniors - please make every effort to send a representative)
