| Being located in the southern tip of Sweden, Skane offers a lovely mild climate enabling most courses to stay open all year, with many using their summer greens throughout the winter.
Of the 70 golf courses in the region, 11 have been invited to join the Golf in Skane Project, which was initiated by the local tourist board in the spring of 2004. Participating clubs, which can be booked up to four months in advance, must satisfy a number of criteria before being allowed to join, therefore ensuring visitors enjoy the highest levels of service and quality. One of these courses is Barseb?ck, a mere 20 minutes from Malm?, which is considered the best course in Sweden and host to the European and Solheim Cups.
Golf in Skane has also collaborated with another project, Culinary Skane, involving 27 of the region's best restaurants so players can enjoy top class cuisine while honing their skills on the green.
Colin Montgomerie, Annika S?renstam and many other big names have all played golf in Skane, so why not join them?

Title: Lilla Vik golf
Location: Vik, ?sterlen
Region: Sk?ne
Description: This spectacular old course is laid out as a parkland course by the sea. The course is shielded to the left by shrubberies and trees, which gives it a secluded feeling. At times, despite the sea below, you can hear a pin drop, or more to the point, the resounding bang of your ball hitting a tree.
