Coventry take charge
Mid-WaCoventry stormed to 1st place in the table during week 3, just as they did in 2006; with a 7-1 home win against Purley Chase. Matt Cryer, Sam Dodds, Dan Baskott, John Taylor, and Jon Pascoe all winning for Coventry, Martin Haywood securing a consolation point for the visitors.

Kenilworth move into 2nd place in the league with a 4-4 draw at Rugby. Matt Bell and Ashley Moss were the winners for the home side, J. Lammond and P. Hall victorious for Kenilworth. There were 2 halved games, between Brian McGovern and Craig Owen, and R. Rankine and E. Forbes.

Nuneaton jump into 4th with a 6? to 1? win at Whitefields. Ian White got the home side off to a great start but was the only one to win, as Cimon Fenton, Dave Moore, Jamie Melton, and Pete Choules took the points for Nuneaton. The halved match was between Steve Postlethwaite and Phil Wastel.

Stoneleigh provided the result of the week with an 8-0 hammering of last years winners Hearsall. Chris Dougill got the home side off to a magnificent start with a best of the week 9 & 7 win. This was followed by victories for R. Edmondson, N. Gardner, M. Woolerton, L. Jones, and S. Young.

In the final game of week 3, Leamington and Atherstone also battled to a 4-4 draw in wet and windy conditions at Leamington. G. Greenway, P. Walker and G. Wilson winning for the visitors, but I. Jones, T. Wilson, and S. Ballard snatching a draw for the home side.
