| The singles started where the morning finished with Senior & Hufton winning 2 & 1 and 5 & 4 respectfully, when Harben won 4 & 3 on his welcome return to county golf
Warks now had 6.5 points on the board with 7 matches still on the course. Given that 6 of these matches had players who had won their foursomes in the morning, the 'betting man' would have had us as slight favourites !
Unfortunately the middle order saw Worcs take 5 successive matches, four with a score of 2 & 1 and the fifth just 1 down.
If only one of these 'tight' matches could have got even a half !
Warks final 2 points came from the 'evergreen' pair of Gardner & Clarke, Gardner winning the 18th for a 1 up victory and Clarke having the satisfaction of beating his rival captain for the 2nd time in the day.
Credit must be given to Worcester Golf & Country Club for their efforts in producing a golf course capable of playing given the atrocious weather that their county has received over the past couple of weeks.
