| The resort recently has announced plans to build Rainbow Canyon Golf Club, the resort's fourth course that will be adjacent to Reflection Bay Golf Club on the destination?s northern shore. Rainbow Canyon will stretch from the lake's shoreline to the Rainbow Garden Geological Preserve and construction on the 18-hole, par-72 course is expected to open in 2008.
Golf enthusiasts can now enjoy the professional experience of the resort's new forecaddie program at The Falls and Reflection Bay golf courses. Launched in February 2006, forecaddies will be inclusive for daily fee guests at The Falls Golf Club and optional for a nominal fee at Reflection Bay Golf Club. Las Vegas' newest cultural and historic attraction, the Springs Preserve, opens this month on a 180-acre historic site commonly known as 'the birthplace of Las Vegas'. The Preserve features historic museums, galleries, outdoor concerts and events, educational and play areas for children, the future Nevada State Museum, an interpretive trail system, a botanical garden and more. 2007 MTV Video Music Awards Sets up Next Act in Las Vegas
MTV recently announced that it will bring the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards to The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Demolishing the constraints of a traditional four-wall venue, performances will be staged throughout The Palms Casino Resort, from the intimate hotel suites to the scenic rooftop. Nothing will be off-limits as, for the first time ever, MTV will program an entire VMA weekend featuring not-to-be-missed events, appearances and sizzling musical performances. MTV?s 24th Annual Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007 at 9 p.m. (live ET/tape-delayed PT). Hosts, performers, nominees and presenters will be announced at a later date.
