| The award - the only one of its kind in Spain - certifies that La Manga adheres to strict quality standards throughout its infrastructure as well as recognising the quality of the three championship golf courses.
Chris Davies, director of golf at La Manga Club, said: 'We are honoured to have been presented with this award which recognises the year-round hard work and professionalism of our many green-keeping staff.
'We have maintained extremely high standards for well over 20 years now and that's why our courses, and this resort in general, are renowned the world over.'
La Manga has built up a strong reputation with British holidaymakers partly through a close relationship with Barwell, the leading operator to the five-star resort which is offering some great deals this winter.
Anyone staying at the newly-refurbished Hyatt Regency before December 23, or from January 2-February 23, can stay for seven nights and pay only for six - meaning a seven-night stay will cost only £ 336 per person.
Those wanting a shorter break can also benefit with a three-night stay available for just £ 168 per person.
In addition all adult guests will receive one free green fee or spa treatment per stay.
Prices are based on two sharing a twin or double room on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Extra nights cost £ 56 per person.
