| DOLPHIN ENERGY PLEDGES MAJOR SUPPORT TO COMMERCIALBANK QATAR MASTERS | |||
| New Regional Energy Producer to Present Doha Event - Doha (QATAR): The standing of the Commercialbank Qatar Masters as a key global sporting event has been given a major boost through the signing of a joint sponsorship deal with Abu Dhabi-based Dolphin Energy Limited. It is the first major sporting sponsorship in Qatar for the regional energy company, which began gas production offshore Qatar and subsequent supply by pipeline to the UAE, in July 2007. | |||

| Through the golf sponsorship agreement, the name of Dolphin Energy will share equal billing with the PGA European Tour event, which takes place at Doha Golf Club from January 24-27, 2008.
'Dolphin Energy is delighted to sponsor this magnificent championship,' said Dolphin Energy?s CEO Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh. 'It is the latest in a series of world-class professional sporting events in Doha and we are proud to be associated with it as part of our company?s commitment to Qatar.'
Commercialbank Group CEO Andrew Stevens was equally proud to welcome Dolphin Energy to the team of event sponsors.
'With three world-class golf events in the Middle East in the opening month of 2008, it is a tremendous compliment to our tournament that Dolphin Energy has chosen the Commercialbank Qatar Masters as the vehicle for its sponsorship support,' said Stevens.
'The event will now be billed as the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, presented by Dolphin Energy and we are delighted to welcome Mr Al Sayegh and his team to our family of sponsors.'
The 11th staging of the tournament - won in 2007 by South Africa?s Retief Goosen - has again attracted a powerful field of world names, including Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia and defending champion Retief Goosen who returns to Doha aiming to become the first player to retain the Mother of Pearl trophy.
'It will be yet another star-studded field but we need our commercial partners to help maintain the quality and standards of the event,' added Hassan Al Nuami, Chairman of the Qatar Golf Association (QGA) who stage the event in association with the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC). 'Dolphin Energy's involvement is a first and we welcome their support.'
Dolphin Energy?s strategic gas supply initiative involves the production and processing of natural gas from Qatar?s North Field, and transportation of the refined gas by subsea pipeline to the UAE.
The overall investment in constructing the entire Dolphin Gas Project - wells, sealines, processing plant, export pipeline and receiving facilities - has made it one of the largest energy-related ventures ever undertaken in the Middle East. Dolphin Energy is a development company that was established in Abu Dhabi to implement the Dolphin Gas Project, and to undertake other important energy-related developments such as the Al Ain - Fujairah Gas Pipeline, commissioned in January 2004.
