| Competing in the Men's Professional category against Rocca and Slattery will be Chile's number one golfer Christian Leon, Indian professional Rishi Nahrain and BBC golf presenter Paul Eales. They will battle it out over 9 challenging snow holes to see who is crowned 'King of the Mountains' and lift the prestigious Chivas Regal Trophy.
Costantino Rocca said:
'The setting looks spectacular - a breath taking venue to tee off from. This is the first time I have played a tournament on snow and I am sure it is going to be a challenge. The course looks fantastic and the other competitors tough. I will have to be at my best to win and may need a small Chivas to keep me warm on the way round.'
Lee Slattery added:
'I played in the Chivas Snow Golf tournament in 2006 and really enjoyed the challenge. I have seen the other competitors practicing so I know I will have to use all of my snow golf experience and play some ice-cool shots to stay ahead of the others.'
Sophie Gallois, Chivas Regal Brand Director said:
'The Chivas Snow Golf Championship continues to attract an ever-growing international audience as the high quality of golf on offer is rivaled only by the great evenings to be had in the glamorous venues of St Moritz. We are really looking forward to raising a toast to this year's winner but also to everyone who shares in this unforgettable experience.'
The Chivas Snow Golf Championship, St Moritz, an extraordinary event in an inspiring place, is perfectly accommodated by the exclusive surroundings of St Moritz.
The event is played over holes approximately 33% shorter than normal grass holes. The fairways are made of compacted snow, the 'whites' are made from frozen snow and the balls used are a fluorescent amber colour. Other international celebrities attending the event include Slovenian model and actress Katarina Cas, Bulgarian sports presenter Kamen Alipiev, Polish celebrity chef Karol Okrasa and Polish fashion designer Maciej Zien.
