Current World Three Day Event Champion Zara Phillips and champion racing jockey Frankie Dettori played well in their respective competitions and were on hand to present the winners with their Chivas Snow Golf Trophies.

Constantino Rocca said:

'The Chivas Snow Golf has definitely been one of the most memorable tournaments of my career - a challenging course, a unique event and a great group of people.

'I was lucky enough to play a practice round with Zara Phillips. Although she hasn't played much golf, she was a natural with a golf club in her hands. I have had so much fun and hope I am invited back next year to defend the Chivas Regal Trophy.'

Zara Phillips was playing in her first Chivas Snow Golf Championship, part of a new two year sponsorship deal recently announced with Chivas Regal. Zara adapted well to the heavy snowfall in the Women's Tournament. After picking up a few hints from the participating European Tour professionals, she scored a par on the first hole. She continued her good form and finished just outside the medals in a respectable fourth place.

German golfer Dagmar G?de froze out the competition in the Women's tournament to win. Frankie Dettori jockeyed for position in the Men's Handicap competition over the early holes before falling away in the final holes. Dettori finished joint 34th with a net score of 27.

Zara Phillips said:

'This was my first time being out at the Chivas Snow Golf and it has been really fun. Playing golf on the snow is a real challenge but it was great to play with professionals Lee Slattery and Costantino Rocca. Chivas Snow Golf is such a unique event and something completely different for me. The golf and the hospitality were superb and St Moritz is an excellent venue.'

Frankie Dettori added:

'I love being here in St Moritz. I was last out here in 1990 taking part in the Snow Racing. When I heard there was a Chivas Regal Snow Golf event, I was delighted to be invited. I'm off to Dubai for the next 3 months so it's a pretty big contrast being out here in the snow this week!'

Ryder Cup winner, Constantino Rocca, the winner of the men's professional competition lifted the Chivas Regal Trophy for the first time.

Due to excessive snow fall; over 45cm of snow fell in less than 24 hours during the tournament, the Men's Professional competition had to be reduced from nine holes to six holes on the final day.

Sophie Gallois, Chivas Regal Brand Director added:

'This year's Chivas Snow Golf tournament has been a real success although the heavy snowfall really added to the challenge of the tournament. The triumph has been the international flavour of the event and hosting our 3rd Snow Golf event in the glamorous venue of St Moritz. All the competitors and our celebrities have had so much fun both on and off the course and it goes without saying that everyone has enjoyed a Chivas or two along the way!'

The Chivas Snow Golf Championship, St Moritz, an extraordinary event in an inspiring place, is perfectly accommodated by the exclusive surroundings of St Moritz. The event is played over holes approximately 33% shorter than normal grass holes. The fairways are made of compacted snow, the 'whites' are made from frozen snow and the balls used are a fluorescent amber colour.
