| County Championships Day 3 Semi finals | |||
| Abbey Gittings defeated Elizabeth Galland 5 and 4 this morning. There was nothing much between them from tee to green but Abbey had the edge with her putting. Two birdies, one bogey and level pars saw our 2007 Champion progress into the final. Charlotte Dalton came up against Lisa Barton and the story was much the same here. A couple of birdies and straight pars saw Charlotte take the edge and reach the final for the first time. Result 5 and 4. | |||

| The stage is now set for a fantastic final. Both are under 20 years of age and met last year in the quarter final where Abbey defeated Charlotte on the 20th hole. One wonders if our 2008 final will be as exciting. We are all waiting with great expectation to see our new champion crowned.
WLCGA are extremely proud of all players who took part this week and look forward to the announcement of squad for County Week later this afternoon. |
