The weather in the afternoon warmed up with the sun eventually coming out in late afternoon. However, the golf was red hot with Warwickshire coming out as winners 5 games to 1.

Abbey won her match 3 and 2, with the highlight on one hole with her opponent Jane Binning and her holing from some 15ft, for a half. Lauren and her opponent, Kath O'Connor both putted for eagles and a half on the 13th, before Lauren went on to gain a 2 and 1 win. Charlotte birdied the 10th to go one up and never looked back from that hole, finishing the winner by 3 and 2. Elizabeth in her first match of the day went 2 down on the 9th, then eagled the 13th, before shaking hands on the 17th, losing 3 and 1. Hannah, once again had a great win by 6 and 5 with birdies on the 1st and 9th holes and several more chances. Finally Lisa came down the 18th one up and needing just a half to secure a win, which she made. What a match that had been with Lisa having 6 birdies in total and sinking a 40ft putt on the 17th to go one up.

Bev Belcher's smile was from ear to ear by the end of the day and said "The day was absolutely brilliant - the start of the week could not have been better with the performance of the girls in the afternoon being just awesome"

Come and support the girls tomorrow to see if they can continue with their

splendid golf.
