Ashley and Lauren got off to a flyer and by the time they shook hands on the 13th, having won 7 and 5, they were four under par. Hannah and Abbey, who were both celebrating their birthdays today (15 and 19 respectively), had a really tight match, being 2 down after the 16th hole. A great par on the 17th pulled one back with a win on the 18th being vital to draw level. A long drive by Hannah, followed by Abbey's good 2nd shot to the edge of the green, ensured a win on that hole and thus levelled the match. The third match finished on the 16th with Northamptonshire being the victors, after a ding dong match. Thus the morning session finished honours even with 11/2 points each.

Players for Warwickshire for the afternoon matches were: Abbey Gittings (Walmley), Lisa Barton (Coventry),Lauren Taylor (Rugby), Ashley Crammond (The Warwickshire), Elizabeth Galland (The Warwickshire) and Hannah Cole (Maxstoke). Early wins for the first three out - 5 and 4 by Abbey, 3 and 2 by Lisa and 5 and 4 by Lauren gave the team a great boost, proving that the Captain, Bev Belcher was making the right choices in team selection. One further win by Hannah by 3 and 2, who by that time had secured 5 birdies. Liz Galland, playing in her first match of the week regrettably lost 5 and 3 but was still upbeat and wanting to get out there and secure a point for the team on a future occasion. The stage was set for game number four, where the two young but highly talented golfers Ashley Crammond (14) and Charley Hull (13) from Northamptonshire were having a great game. Having both birdied the first, they then had a ding dong of a match, finishing All Square. Notable highlights were an eagle by Ashley on the 13th, Par 5, followed immediately by Charley driving the Par 4, 275 yard 14th hole - A just result.

Final Score for the day was Warwickshire 6 and Northamptonshire 3
