Elizabeth Mallett just misses out at the Girls British Open Amateur Championship 2009

At the Girls' British Open Amateur Championship, played at the West Lancahsire Golf Club, Elizabeth Mallett from Sutton Coldfield Golf Club played her heart out over the three days. She reached the final on Friday 14th playing against another 15 year old from France, Perrine Delacour, to lose only by 2 holes.

A fantastic effort by Elizabeth over the three days and we are very proud of her achievement. The scores below show how she progressed though the week:

ROUND 1 - 3 and 2 Win over Emilie Alonso (France)

ROUND 2 - 2 and 1 Win over Jessica Schiele (England - Kenwick Park)

ROUND 3 - Win at the 2nd extra hole over Holly Clyburn (England - Woodhall Spa)

QUARTER FINAL - 3 and 2 Win over Jess Wilcox (England - Blankney)

SEMI FINAL - Win by 1 up over Rosanna Crepiat (France)

FINAL - Lost to Perrine Delacour (France) 2 down
